Happy Monday, Reader We're home!! I'll share more thoughts in a future email, as I'm still catching up from this trip โย and I leave for Anchorage again on Thursday ๐ โย but our trip was a success: Baby V had a good time, and we did too! (You can see a bunch of recap posts over on my Facebook Page if you missed them...) Today I want to chat about the Ultimate Explorer competition, as it's a crunch week. If I finish this week (which ends on Thursday night) in the #1 position, I move on to the finals. If I'm #2, I'm in a wild card competition. If #3-#5, I'm out... I'm currently in the #2 spot. I need your help! First off, the person currently in the #1 spot has been cheating by using fake voting tools; I reported them to the race administrators but nothing has happened so far. So we'll have to work harder to win without breaking any rules. ๐ Luckily, I'm one of those people willing to read all the rules and T&Cs, so I think I've got a plan: Between now and Thursday, I will match any donation votes by making my own donation to the National Park Foundation. So if you vote by donating, I will also donate the same amount โย independent of the competition! (I'm not allowed to make my own donation votes OR pay for others to vote โย but I can match your donations as an incentive for you to donate and double your impact!) I can see every donation vote โย and many of you have been amazing in making donations so far (this community has already donated $325!) โย so I'll tally them up on Friday morning and make my own donation. Also, many of you asked for email reminders to cast your free daily vote, so I'm going to start sending those tomorrow if you've already cast a vote for me. Even if you don't want to donate, those free votes help a ton!
